Dilla Donuts

The release of J Dilla's Donuts Ep by Stones Throw Records and Serato.

It comes with some very inventive packaging, including 2 slip mats (for those who still use turntables) and 2 disks for use with Serato Scratch Live DJ software.

Cookouts are Always Cool

I'm glad Kaya grabbed me to go to her friend Rebecca's birthday cookout a few days ago.

I enjoy meeting new people whose paths I never would have crossed, featuring:

Two hilarious guys from England who talked junk about the Liberty Bell, ate a raw onion, but were afraid of getting shot in Philly.
A dripping icing cake that somehow repelled insects.
A cute baby that cried when I held her.
A boy beating a pinata violently.
Drinking Hard Cider and Makers Mark Whiskey.
Numerous views about working at a bad company, a plastic island in the ocean, and good times (and drugs) in San Francisco.

Good times.

Can't Touch This Flash Mob

Man, I would have killed to have seen this live...

I would have died laughing if I was there.

King Magazine: Dollicia

Dollicia Bryan on an eye catching upcoming cover.

I still wish KING was released monthly and was more of an editorial magazine it used to be instead of a pictorial. Its review of style, music, fashion and women from a Black perspective is sorely and still missed.

Lay Your Head: DISSIZIT Cans Pillow

I've been up on Andrew Sebastian for a little bit and he never ceases to amaze me with the collabos for his line of pillows. Why buy some "regular" stuff from Wal Mart (yuck) when I can have my house looking stylish (if not bizarre) with this design from LA's graff legend SLICK.

I'm not really a throw pillow guy, but I missed the Beyonce pillow last year, so I gotta get up on this one. See it when you come over!

Buy it from Digital Gravel.

Solange Style in Refinery 29 Magazine

I love this girl and I'm glad she found her own her own eclectic style instead of being "Beyonce's sister"

The Summer Time Speed Up

I've missed a few posts and I can't believe its already July.

I knew the Summertime Speed Up was coming, but each year I'm never completely ready for it.

The Summer Time Speed Up
is when the days begin to rapidly pass by, beginning in mid to late June and ending, of course, some time in early September. Before you know it, its...

June 20th--->July 4th---> July 27th---> August 10th---> August 29th----> Labor Day.

Or at least that's what it seems like to me. You don't know where your summer has gone, and now its Fall again.

Beware.

Plan and take advantage of the time!

Heat wave or not.
