On the surface, the adventures Calvin and his real-only-when-he's-alone tiger, Hobbes were exactly like mine when I was 8-11 years old. But it was Calvin's musings about life, family, politics, and religion that reached me as a young adult.
I can't believe that cartoonist Bill Watterson never had any children.
