Wednesday January 13th. The world (and Philly) lost one of the greats in Teddy Pendergrass.
I can't say much more about him that hasn't already been said.
When I hear his music, I am 8 years old again. I didn't know what he was signing about, but I knew that he was what men were supposed to be.
Back in the day, you couldn't get no shaper than this!
I couldn't wait to be one just like him when I grew up. I wanted to love a woman like he said I was supposed to. He reminded me of my Dad and my older brother.
He will be missed
Thanks to magazine waxpoetic for this dope cover and story.
